Princess Hayu is fourth child and daughter of Sultan Hamengkubuwana X of Yogyakarta and his consort, Ratu Hemas. She is married to Prince Notonegoro, an executive in United Nations Development Programme Indonesia and a professional in the United Nations, New York, United States.

Following her graduation from college, Princess Hayu then worked at a software house in Jakarta as a project manager for internet banking. After three years in this business, she moved to her hometown Yogyakarta and became a game producer for Gameloft, a global game company. She is now also serve as the chief of Tepas Tandha Yekti, a new department in the Palace which manages IT and documentation affairs.

Hayu’s figure as a professional worker has changed people’s perceptions about the role and status of women in the Javanese royal court. Princess Hayu was seen as a modern independent woman which negates the image of woman being subservient in Javanese culture especially among royals.

Rie is the CEO and founder of COGNITEE Inc., an artificial intelligence software company based in Tokyo, focusing on context classification. COGNITEE independently develops technologies to analyze logical structures of articles and conversations. The company assists clients with the quantitative analysis of data, such as “high performers,” “good teams” and “productive meetings,” which have been assessed qualitatively. Megha Singh is Match Programme Director of CRIB (Creating Responsible and Innovative Businesses), a non-profit social enterprise that helps women set up and run successful businesses through a wide range of programmes. In this role, she manages CRIB Angels Club – a network of high-impact investors who are keen to support female-led businesses – and oversees CRIB’s Pitch Perfect initiative – which connects CRIB members who are fundraising to the Angels Club, through a process that involves several rounds of expert reviews and pitch training sessions. Megha is also an entrepreneur, business consultant and a published author.

One of the youngest finance leaders in the Philippines, Cabal-Revilla has championed and spearheaded the massive rollout of innovative financial systems within PLDT and Smart, underscoring the invaluable and evolving role of finance organizations in companies.

Cabal-Revilla’s leadership and financial acumen earned her local and international recognitions. Rilla Melati builds creative content for the classroom and television. She is an educator, author, entrepreneur and TV presenter and pioneered Malay speech and drama programmes in Singapore schools. The author of over 20 children’s books, Rilla is the 2017 National Arts Council recipient of the Anugerah Persuratan (Literary Award – Children’s Fiction). She sits in the National Library Board’s Malay Reading Advisory Panel and was head judge of the Asian Scholastic Picture Book Award in 2017. On the public front, Rilla is an established TV presenter with over 40 years of experience having started her career as a child star with Singapore’s main television network Mediacorp. She anchored Singapore’s highest rated live talkshow “Rudy & Rilla” for six seasons and has won Suria Mediacorp’s Best Presenter Award five consecutive times. In the field of business, Rilla was awarded the Women Entrepreneur Awards (Stellar Category) for Promising Women Entrepreneur in 2018 and was awarded the Entrepreneur Honoree Award by the Singapore Malay Chambers of Commerce & Industry in 2017.

Patrick is instrumental in initiating and developing the Group’s overseas ventures in Malaysia, Indonesia, China, Vietnam and the Philippines. A fervent believer of growth, he constantly explores new markets and opportunities.
With his strong business acumen, he transformed the initial start-up capital of $8,000 into a business with annual revenues of more than $20M. From the humble beginnings of a 2-men operation, it has now grown to a staff strength of more than a 100 people across the region.

In 2011, Patrick was conferred the Outstanding Entrepreneur Award at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards for his business achievements and the Prestige Award at the Teochew Entrepreneur Award in 2016. AKLTG was recently ranked amongst the Singapore SME 1000 in 2018 for its financial performance.

Patrick graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Second Upper Class Honours in Business Administration. He is a Past President of the Singapore Chapter of Entrepreneurs’ Organisation (EO), a global business network whose membership is only open to leaders of companies with minimum annual revenue of USD 1 million. He is currently serving as a National Service Commanding Officer in the Singapore Armed Forces.

Anna Chin

Anna has a Bachelor’s Degree in Science (Bio-Chemistry) specializing in Plant Pathology at the Taiwan National Chung Hsing University in 1979 and in 1998, received her English teaching qualification from the Ministry of Education, Taiwan.
Having completed her Educational Business Administration Courses from the University of Sydney and International House, London, she started with Hess as an English teacher in 1996 and in 2004, became the CEO leading HESS’s growth and expansion of 80 preschools and 135 ESL education center, becoming the leading English Education brand in Taiwan.

After retiring from retail in 2016, Elim and her siblings ventured into the Food & Beverage industry and currently own three restaurants – I’m Kim Korean BBQ, GoroGoro Steamboat & Korean Buffet and I’m Kim Junior.

Elim also co-founded a social impact business – FastFast.Delivery, an app providing fast and instant on-demand delivery services to consumers, while providing an additional source of income for people who need it. In addition, she has a YouTube channel ‘elimchewtv’ that features changemakers from all walks of life who are making a positive impact in society.

Elim sits on more than 20 boards and committees of public service, youth and community organizations, and is humbled by awards in both entrepreneurship and philanthropy. As a mentor and friend to many youths and aspiring entrepreneurs/ social entrepreneurs, Elim hopes to encourage more people to rise up and be the change they want to see.

Tin Pei Ling
